Our staff has extensive experience in mechanical systems design, operability evaluations, piping codes (ANSI, ASME) and standards, and sophisticated seismic analysis skills. These skills have been used to assist clients to address piping related issues for the last six years. During this time, we have developed a variety of innovative approaches that have helped our clients quickly and cost-effectively resolve their piping operability issues.
Specific services EMS can provide include the following:
· Static Analysis (Dead Weight, Pressure, Thermal Loads, Anchor Movements) · Dynamic Analysis (Earthquake, Water Hammer Loads, Support Vibration Loads etc.) · Response Analysis (Spectrum, Time History, Natural Frequency, Mode Shape) · Minimum Wall Thickness calculation for multiple subsystems of Class I and non-Class I piping for use in Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) programs · Pipe Break and Pipe Whip · Water Hammer Assessment · Special Piping Problems: - Operability evaluation - Flange and expansion joint problems - Nozzle load evaluation - Hanger evaluation - Fatigue analysis and degradation evaluation - System integrity and reliability - Interaction with equipment and supporting structure - Thermal Overpressurization evaluation
